Worsbrough bridge Ladies 3-0 Wickersley

+3 points! Today saw us get our first win, and first 3 points after a difficult start to the season. From the outset, we were determined to get the win, especially given last night’s announcement. We hosted an evenly matched Wickersely side who already had 1 point on the board coming into the game. We played excellently throughout, working hard for each other and fulfilling our individual roles well. The first half saw us take charge of the game, and despite missing a few chances, we finished 1-0 up through Lucy Tindle, with some work to do to secure the win. We started the second half the same as we finished the first, having lots of possession and putting pressure on our opponents. The

Yesterday 18th of August fans were allowed permission to attend non league fixtures below the blue square north/south level. Today on the 19th of August NCEL clubs have been told that only 150 fans will be allowed to attend (this being 15% of the required capacity at Ncel level) This will be raised to 300 after August 31st. Worsborough Bridge FC welcome this decision as it will bring in much needed revenue at this level. U17 v u18 preseason friendly

So as a way to help this years under 17's they played a match against last years under 17's we caught up with stuart the u17 manager It was a really tough test for us to be honest, the U18s showed us what we need to do to step up a level, we didn't react quickly enough at times and didn't adapt, they scored the same goal 4 or 5 times. Do you believe that the age gap was a factor by all accounts we played better than than the week before. We talked before the game about the 2 specific areas we wanted to see improvement and we did. It's always going to be playing lads older than them but

Petts thoughts after littletown game

I spoke to assistant manager Paul Pettinger after the narrow 3-2 loss at Littletown he had this to say We Didn't win the battle. Defensive mistakes cost us but its a good kick up the arse after 2 good performances. Plenty to work on and get better at as a squad. Sometimes this is what you need in preseason sometimes you learn more from defeats than you do wins
