Fantastic news for Worsbrough Bridge Athletic Football Club as we have agreed a long term tenure agreement with Worsbrough Sports & Development Association.

The Pinto Property Stadium at Park Road has been the home of Worsbrough Bridge AFC for nearly 100 years, and to get such a positive long term tenure agreement is a massive step forward for the club and shows real trust and confidence in the plans the football committee have in place for the future.

Mark Booth, Chairman of the club had this to say on the agreement, “I am massively grateful to Worsbrough Sports and Development Association that they have placed their trust in the development plan the club has in place. We have discussed a more long term tenure for a number of months so to get this over the line demonstrates not only the ambition of the football club, but shows the commitment WSDA has in providing quality sporting facilities for the local community that can be enjoyed for many years to come. This agreement will help the club to access funding pots that would otherwise have been out of reach and is a massive boost as we continue to try and improve the facilities for players, supporters and future generations. The football club has made big strides both on and off the pitch over the last 3 years and this long term tenure will now help us to push on further and invest in areas that are critical to our survival at Northern Counties East League Level.

I look forward to continuing to work with the trustees at the WSDA on joint projects that make a real difference, and I am sure this tenure agreement presents us with real optimism for a bright future.

Jill Aranyi from Worsbrough Sports & Development Association commented on the agreement, “We are pleased to be working with Worsbrough Bridge Athletic Football on a long term tenure agreement, we know how important this is to the club and we hope this show of commitment provides positive outcomes for future projects that help to develop the facility at Park Road. As a group of trustees, supporting our sporting sections in the Worsbrough Community is important to us and we look forward to working with them on projects in the future”.
