Worsbrough bridge Ladies 3-0 Wickersley

+3 points! Today saw us get our first win, and first 3 points after a difficult start to the season. From the outset, we were determined to get the win, especially given last night’s announcement. We hosted an evenly matched Wickersely side who already had 1 point on the board coming into the game. We played excellently throughout, working hard for each other and fulfilling our individual roles well. The first half saw us take charge of the game, and despite missing a few chances, we finished 1-0 up through Lucy Tindle, with some work to do to secure the win. We started the second half the same as we finished the first, having lots of possession and putting pressure on our opponents. The

Gaffers thought’s post Dronfield

We sat down with Luke straight after the match against Dronfield I've got to be careful what I say but I thought the officials was poor but we were also poor all over the pitch, we got what we deserved and they were the better team we weren't at the races. We had spoken about playing to the levels we had against Emley but it looked like a whole different team tonight I'm dissappointed. The first 10 minutes we were really slow did you expect that?No not really, we discussed in the changing room about not being complacent and we mentioned that Dronfield's results were probably a little false. They have played the top teams and they will make it

Worsbrough Ladies 0 Worksop Womens Dev 4

it was another disapointing game on Sunday as the ladies lost 4-0 to visitors SJR Worksop Womens Development. The scoreline does not reflect the ladies performance as they improved massively on last weeks loss, being the better and more dominate side for the majority of the match. However, Worksop took there chances in front of goal and took all 3 points in the Briggers second loss of the season. We look forward to next Sunday's fixture against Sheffield Wednesday as we continue to search for 3 points

Worsbrough 2-4 Emley AFC

A crowd of 228 saw an entertaining game at the Pinto Property stadium, including premier league ref Kevin Friend. Many will say Worsbrough were far from friendly to there visitors, getting 1 goal in front inside 2 minutes a turn in the box from Luke Francis. In truth Worsbrough were the better team in the first half dealing confidently with Emley's threats going forward, something that must have impressed The Worsbrough Management in the 10th minute. There was a lovely ball along the box which was cleared, unfortunately it didn't land to a Worsbrough player all the Worsbrough lads were really dominate chasing down the Emley players and being first to every ball. Special mention to Ben Donoghue who worked very

Fudge previews Emley Afc

We spoke to Luke Forgoine ahead of the match against Emley AFC I was told after the match against Skegness that there manager Richard Tracey attended our game but as i said to our players why wouldn't you take that opportunity They have started really well and have some very experianced players some that even i played against they seem to have a goalscorer in Aiden Savoury that our defenders will have to keep quite they got a draw in there last game against Rossington Main but its safe to say that Rossington seem to be a little bit inconsistent this season with a young squad much like ourselves Whilst Luke was proud of his teams performance on Tuesday he said

Fudge’s thought’s on incoming’s

After a week in the position Luke has his say on the new faces that have joined us We don't just recruit players based on there ability but on how they are as individuals and there characteristics we want leaders in the team said Fudge on Josh Bucknall Josh has played at a number of clubs in the Ncel and has captained them he has a wealth of experience in this league and he was one of my main targets i'm excited in working with him and I believe he is excited in joining Worsbrough and working with myself and my coaching team he is a left footer and brings good balance which not many teams have that I believe that

Fudge’s thoughts post Skegness game

we sat down with fudge a short while after the Skegness game to get his thought's after the 3-0 victory Luke admitted he was very happy after the victoryIt was a great result a 3 nil victory and a clean sheet which we had mentioned before the game about us conceding sloppy goals and it was something that we wanted to stop I think we rode our luck at times but I thought Ross Pritchard made some great saves to keep them at bay Luke was full of praise for the Worsbrough stopperI think he just needed to get some game time to build some confidence I have known of him for a while with him being at

Interview with Luke Francis

We caught up with debutant and 2 goal scorer Luke Francis after the match against Skegness Town So what was your week like leading up to last nights game?I was buzzing to be told I was going to be involved in the game. I had been off isolating so I was just getting myself ready to play just making sure I was prepped, but I couldn't wait to get out there and play What happened in regarding to game being called off then back on?I'm not too sure myself I think the club called the game off when it was belting it down which at the time sempt the right decision. But Skegness demanded for the pitch to be inspected and

Worsbrough Ladies season opener

at Sunday 2pm Worsbrough Bridge ladies start there season at home against Socrates we sat down with midfielder Emily Hoosan to discuss preseason So it's been a while since we last caught up with the Ladies team can you let me know how preseason has gone for youPre season has gone really well for us, even though we lost our first game of pre season we worked harder in training after that game and came together as a team to get the results we needed. We then went off to win Sheffield Wednesday reserves and drew with Barnsley Ladies which was big achievements for us as a team. We have enjoyed working with Andy our new manager and will continue
