Worsbrough 3-0 Retford

As usual Gav spoke to Fudge after tonight's victory against Retford. Last night was up there with our best performances this season for sure, if not our best. After the draw at Nostell on Friday, which we left feeling a little disappointed not to win, although Nostell had the best two chances early on, we felt we created several chances to win that game, last night was even more important to win to achieve our own personal objectives. Retford are sitting sixth on the edge of the play offs and have a great season, so we knew we were in for a tough game. There was extra spice added to the game, from the first game, which the lads hadn’t forgot

Worsbrough 4-2 Teversal

Our reporter/masterchef Gav caught up with Fudge after the match After the midweek win away at Clipstone, it was important that we backed it up with another 3 points. On paper we should of been expected to win this game, against a team that were bottom of the league, but we all know in football league position can sometimes go out of the window. The club continues to do amazing things against the weather to ensure games go ahead, however at the moment the pitch is still very difficult and makes it a leveller. Something we haven’t adapted to all that well over the last few months, but it's all about learning. We started the game on the front foot but

Clipstone 0-2 Worsbrough

Gav caught up with Fudge shortly after the match and he had this to say about Saturday's game against Armthorpe: "After what was a disappointing performance on Saturday, a game that Armthorpe deserved to win undoubtedly on the day, we were left disappointed and frustrated as we felt we played a massive part in the result. We were simply not at it and we helped to give Armthorpe a leg up with some poor goals conceded." However the team bounced back with a win against our next opponents, Clipstone. Luke went on to say: "Last night we managed to get a clean sheet which is massively important to us, as this is something we haven’t done for a while. We all know if

Gav caught up with manager Luke Forgione after the full time whistle After losing to Dronfield two week a go. I felt, that you could sense that the lads were chomping at the bit in training on Thursday. We had to finish training on Thursday early as i thought the boys were playing like it was a match, which is always a good sign. We seemed to build on that today and

Player Interview – Mike Jepps

Player Interview - Mike Jepps Our roving reporter Gav Frost recently caught up with striker Mike Jepps and talked about the season so far: GF. This is your first season in the Northern Counties East League, how have you found the step up? MJ. Yes, I’ve really enjoyed it. After a few years of not playing, playing for Bingham Town in the Notts Prem helped me to enjoy my Football again to be honest. I moved back to the area 3 years ago and then with lockdown I went a bit mad with the running and ended up in pretty good shape. I dropped Luke a message to see if I could come down to Worsbrough Bridge AFC and that was that. GF. With Luke's

Worsbrough 2-3 Nostell Miners Welfare

We sat down with Worsbrough manager Luke Forgione after Friday night's defeat it's disappointing to lose, I think in all honesty we have given them a helping hand to win the game. A easy goal to make it 1-0, a free kick which was a soft foul and a should of been kept out and then a cross come shot which creeps in on the 50th minute made the game very difficult to win some may argue it shouldn't of stood, after hitting the referee in the build up. Nevertheless, I think people can say we gave it a good go. If Allinson wasn't playing, we may have just got something from the game and maybe even won. We conceded

Teversal FC 0-4 Worsbrough

Goals from Joe Dungworth, Ben Donoghue, Alfie Dodsworth and Alex Hutchinson secured a well deserved 3rd consecutive win away at Teversal FC.2 goals in either half did the job for the Briggers in a disciplined performance and moved the team to 28 points after 14 league games. We caught up with The gaffer after today's victory It's great to get another 3 points on the board in a game which is always has the potential to be a banana skin. Before we discussed about doing the right things, being professional, starting well and we was really pleased that we started off well after last week. A dominant 20 minutes which saw us 2-0 up could easily of been more. Teversal then
