Player Interview – Alex Hutchinson

In the latest of our player interviews, our roving reporter Gav Frost has battled through the snow and ice to catch up with Alex Hutchinson. GF - So Alex, you have been at the club now for just over a year, how do you think the team has changed since you joined? AH - When I first came down to Worsborough we were a team that everyone overlooked because we we were a very young dressing room. We started off as the underdogs with nothing to lose and ended up on a good run. I think that has changed a bit now, teams are talking about us and wanting to come and cause an upset against us. GF - We have quite an

Player Interview – Elliot Wilson

Our ever busy roving reporter Gav Frost caught up with ever-present Elliot Wilson recently and chatted about the season so far. GF - You are one of only 2 players ever present this season, how does that make you feel knowing that the manager has got so much faith in you? EW - Yes it is good to have a manager that is willing to give so many younger players a chance. I have managed to play well so far and stay injury free which also helps. GF - There is a core group of the lads that have played together under Fudge (Manager) at Barnsley College, do you feel that gives you an advantage when playing together in the NCEL? EW - Yes, I

Player Interview – Harley Holt

Our roving reporter Gav Frost caught up with recent birthday boy Harley Holt, fresh from his goal at Rossington Main on Saturday. GF - You have made the step up to Senior Football in the last year or so, what in your opinion is the biggest difference between Academy Football and men's football at NCEL level? HH - The biggest difference is that Academy Football is not focussed on results, it much more focused on development until you reach a certain age, but perhaps the biggest difference is you have a lot more time on the ball in Academy Football. NCEL football is more physical and physically demanding. In the Academy they focus on playing one way which would be whatever the

Player Interview – Mike Jepps

Player Interview - Mike Jepps Our roving reporter Gav Frost recently caught up with striker Mike Jepps and talked about the season so far: GF. This is your first season in the Northern Counties East League, how have you found the step up? MJ. Yes, I’ve really enjoyed it. After a few years of not playing, playing for Bingham Town in the Notts Prem helped me to enjoy my Football again to be honest. I moved back to the area 3 years ago and then with lockdown I went a bit mad with the running and ended up in pretty good shape. I dropped Luke a message to see if I could come down to Worsbrough Bridge AFC and that was that. GF. With Luke's

Worsbrough 2-3 Nostell Miners Welfare

We sat down with Worsbrough manager Luke Forgione after Friday night's defeat it's disappointing to lose, I think in all honesty we have given them a helping hand to win the game. A easy goal to make it 1-0, a free kick which was a soft foul and a should of been kept out and then a cross come shot which creeps in on the 50th minute made the game very difficult to win some may argue it shouldn't of stood, after hitting the referee in the build up. Nevertheless, I think people can say we gave it a good go. If Allinson wasn't playing, we may have just got something from the game and maybe even won. We conceded
