Player Interview – Elliot Wilson

Player Interview – Elliot Wilson

Our ever busy roving reporter Gav Frost caught up with ever-present Elliot Wilson recently and chatted about the season so far.

GF – You are one of only 2 players ever present this season, how does that make you feel knowing that the manager has got so much faith in you?

EW – Yes it is good to have a manager that is willing to give so many younger players a chance. I have managed to play well so far and stay injury free which also helps.

GF – There is a core group of the lads that have played together under Fudge (Manager) at Barnsley College, do you feel that gives you an advantage when playing together in the NCEL?

EW – Yes, I certainly helps that a number of us have played together before and I think the dressing room is really good which is important if we are to have a good season. All the lads get on really well together which helps on the pitch.

GF – You are a bit of a set piece specialist, do you think it is important that everyone tries to pitch in with goals and assists?

EW – yes it is important and I think we have goals in all areas of the pitch, the main thing is that we keep creating and getting the chances to score.

GF – What is your main aim for the rest of the season?

EW – Just to get a run together, keep adding points to the table and hopefully it will be a season for the club to remember.

Thanks to Elliot for taking time to have a chat, and good luck for the rest of the season.
