So as a way to help this years under 17’s they played a match against last years under 17’s we caught up with stuart the u17 manager

It was a really tough test for us to be honest, the U18s showed us what we need to do to step up a level, we didn’t react quickly enough at times and didn’t adapt, they scored the same goal 4 or 5 times.

Do you believe that the age gap was a factor

by all accounts we played better than than the week before. We talked before the game about the 2 specific areas we wanted to see improvement and we did.

It’s always going to be playing lads older than them but hopefully it will show your players what they need to do

Pre-season games are there to help the team get up to speed and highlight areas to work on before the season starts and Callum and myself are happy with the progress we’re making, and very pleased with the commitment the players are showing in training and the games. Their efforts over the past few weeks haven’t been reflected in friendly results.
