Forgione planning for a Briggers future

With the NCEL season curtailed and rumours that there will be no relegation in any FA restructure we are pleased to confirm that Manager Luke Forgione and Assistant Manager Gareth Hunter has committed their future to the club.

Although Luke has admitted that the uncertainty leaves the club in limbo whilst we wait official confirmation from the FA Council he believes that the future is bright as we look forward to season 2021/22 and hopefully an uninterrupted campaign.

Luke said “I think we have got a crop of good young lads and we’re looking to add some older heads in the summer. The young lads are motivated and are striving to go higher in the game and I am sure in years to come there will be clubs looking at them. We have been in contact with the players during the lockdown and I know that they will come back motivated and have real desire to push on next season”

Chairman Mark Booth is understandably pleased to have Luke and Gareth commit to the club, “as a board we believe that having stability on and off the field is key to building success and I am naturally pleased that Luke and Gaz want to continue what they have started. With the disruptions this season and the quick turnaround in games they had limited time on the training ground with the players, it certainly was a baptism of fire for them and I know that all concerned will be better for the experience as we go into pre-season and season 2021/22”.
