Wildblood Becomes a Brigger as Squad Continues to Take Shape.

Fudge’s squad continues to take shape as the Briggers signed another impressive youngster today, Ex-Hemsworth MWFC, Owen Wildblood.

Manager Luke Forgione had this to say about our latest acquisition

Owen is a player who can play several positions, which is always important for the balance of the team. However he is looking to nail a position down after a few years of non league experience, he is searching for regular game time.

Owen has the potential to play at very good level, he has the skill set to do this, technically very good and a nasty streak, he knows a lot of the group already and fits well within our changing room. Having worked with him at Barnsley College, we have a good relationship which is also another factor, as well as him searching for regular playing time.

Another young lad, however has been playing at step 5 for the last two years. We are sure Owen will be another great addition to our team. We look forward to working with him and providing him with an opportunity to showcase his talents.

We grabbed a few minutes with Owen and asked him a couple of questions:

Briggers: How are you feeling about joining the club?

I’m feeling really good about signing for worsbrough fudge and Gaz are two really top class lads. I’ve played under Fudge when I was at college so I know what he’s all about and what he expects. Worsbrough are a really good local club with a great togetherness and I look forward to being a part of it. I’m hoping to bring confidence and energy to this young side and get the lads playing good football and winning games again. I know nearly all the lads already and they’re a good group with good team spirit so hopefully we can achieve what we deserve.

Briggers: What are you hoping to achieve while you’re here?

My ambitions are to play as much football as I can and contribute in every way possible. I need to get minutes under my belt and back playing regular football. I know I’m going to enjoy it here and I can’t wait to have a good go at it!

Best of luck to all our new signings for the rest of the season. Why not get yourselves down and give the lads your support this weekend as we take on Glasshoughton Welfare at the Pinto Property Stadium, tickets are just £5 for adults & £3 for concessions. Buy your tickets online here.
