Winterton Preview

On Saturday afternoon the Briggers take to the pitch in another away fixture at Winterton Rangers who will look to bounce back after their 2-1 loss away to New Mills in FA Vase Second Round of Qualifying. Rangers, who were top of the league when it was cut short last season, will be hoping to continue their fairly high goal scoring season following a 6-0 victory in their last league outing after failing to score in only one of their opening five league games this season. Jamie Ture, Rangers new re-signing will be available for the hosts this weekend, after returning from a brief spell at Bridlington Town. The new recruit contributed 5 goals and many assists for the Scunthorpe based side last term and will be hoping to add to his statistics for the club this weekend, and throughout the rest of the season.

The hosts sit 7th in the league after their opening 5 games of the season, with games in hand over the majority of the division, a fairly solid start to the season by all accounts, managing to generate 10 points from 5 fixtures. With only one league defeat registered this season against Retford FC.

The Briggers will be hoping for better fortunes this weekend following back to back home defeats. Current club top goalscorer Sam Agar will be looking to add to the four goals he already has this season. Elliott Wilson scored late on in the Briggers last outing, in a late attempt to try and salvage something from the match that ended 1-2 in favour of the visitors Dronfield Town. A result they will no doubt be hoping to bounce back from.

Worsbrough sit 17th in the league having played more games than the majority of the league. Managing 8 points from the opening 8 games. With a tough game expected they will definitely be hoping for a solid performance and a good result against a very good opponent.
