Worsbrough Ladies season opener

at Sunday 2pm Worsbrough Bridge ladies start there season at home against Socrates we sat down with midfielder Emily Hoosan to discuss preseason

So it’s been a while since we last caught up with the Ladies team can you let me know how preseason has gone for you

Pre season has gone really well for us, even though we lost our first game of pre season we worked harder in training after that game and came together as a team to get the results we needed. We then went off to win Sheffield Wednesday reserves and drew with Barnsley Ladies which was big achievements for us as a team. We have enjoyed working with Andy our new manager and will continue to enjoy working with him as he has really helped us develop and learn different ways to play. Other than that it’s been a successful pre season and It’s a shame it’s had to end quickly but we can’t wait to start the new season.

You talk about Andy coming in how much of a factor has he been to your success ?

He’s been a huge part of our success, like I said he’s helped us develop and learnt new ways to play which have allowed us to get the results we needed. Since coming to the club he’s talked to us individually and helped us as much as he can which has been great. The training sessions he puts on are effective and helps us before match days, even the warm ups help prepare before playing and we are all looking forward to working with him in the season coming up.

So what are the teams aims for the season ?

Aims for us are simple, try our best to win the league and to get top spot and to go as far as we can in the cup, even to the final. But we also want to keep enjoying the game and have fun along the way like we have done this pre season and achieve as much as we can.

Do goals like that put much pressure on yourselves or do you believe you can overcome pressure ?

I believe we can overcome pressure, if teams were to score against us and let’s say make it even or there winning by 1, we know we have to put that extra hard work in to get more goals ourselves. I can’t speak for everyone because people deal with situations like that differently, but from my point of view we’ve always worked harder and kept going until the final whistle no matter the scoreline.

we wish all the team good luck for the campaign and for today’s match if your stuck for something to do today the postcode is s72 8qa just behind shafton wmc
