Interview with Callum

I sat down with Worsbrough u21 captain and found out about football and the opportunities Worsbrough Bridge have given him

So how long have you been involved with Worsbrough?

Been involved with the club for about 2 and half years now

Whats it like playing in the u21’s do you feel like there is a pathway to get into first team squad

It’s been great playing in the u21s, we’ve faced difficult teams where they have had first team players in so coming against them has been a great stepping stone for our players and it’s the perfect pathway to get in to the first team, as you have seen this week Callum Turner has made the step up and I’m hopeful that more can follow Callum into the first team picture

Ive also been told that your involved in coaching u17’s how supportive have the club been in giving you the opportunity

Yes going to help out at the u17s this year which is great and the club has been massively supportive towards me, as they have gave me an opportunity to help out and gain valuable experience as a coach, as I am doing sports coaching degree at university so getting experience is massive for me

I also sat down with the u17’s manager and this is what he had to say

how do you feel your team will do this year compaired to the previous year

Last year was the oddest season ever, first with the weather and second because of the way it ended, we never played more than 2 games in a row so we never got going. I always plan to do better than last year.
