Chairman’s Christmas Message

As we reach the Christmas period I wanted to take a few minutes to reflect on the season so far and to wish all our players, managers, parents, fantastic sponsors and supporters a happy and healthy Christmas break. I genuinely believe we have made good progress over the last 10 months and although off the field it has been hard work trying to stabilize the club and put plans in place for the next 3 to 5 years we are making getting there. It was never going to be easy but with new sponsors, a restructure of our teams there is much to be optimistic about as we go into 2020. Our fantastic junior teams at U10's and U13's have had good

Chairman’s message ahead of the new season.

It doesn't seem 5 minutes since the season ended after our best campaign for 19 years, but with less than 48 hours till we kick off again away at Dronfield Town I wanted to share some thoughts and thanks. I firstly want to thank our small but hardworking band of volunteers who have worked tirelessly over the summer. Ralph Oldham, Ray Pinder, Peter Clarney, Wayne Halford, John Johnson, Jason Watkin, Ian Shirt, Mark Shakespeare, Derren Trevy, Anna Johnson and Sarah Watson have worked behind the scenes to make sure we are ready to go. I also want to thank our phenomenal sponsors who have backed the club, going from virtually no sponsors at the end of last season to be heavily supported

More new signings and new tracksuits ahead of the new season.

It's been a busy few days as Lee Morris has been working hard to finalise his playing squad for the 2019/20 season. We are delighted that Enos Huly has re-signed & we have added former Penistone midfielder Jack Moore along with Harry Steeple & Lyam Shelley. New tracksuits ordered courtesy of our grant from @WatesGroup - we are all kitted out & ready to start the season away against a tough Dronfield TownFC team. Always a good close game - can't wait to get started. Thanks to our kit sponsors Xtreme Construction and Barnsley Hospital Charity.

Catching up with Moz.

With the 2019/20 starting on Saturday away to Dronfield we have caught up with Briggers boss Lee Morris before the highly anticipated kick off. Pre season is always a tough time whether you are a player but especially as a manager. When the season ends you don’t switch off trying to get players into the club or getting players to stay at the club, which is extremely hard with the limited resources we at Worsborough Bridge AFC have. Other clubs can and have offered our players and our targets stupid money which simply we can’t compete with and you have to rely on the lads been loyal and believing in what you are saying to them. I still strongly believe this is
