An Interview with Joe Skelton.
Emily Hooson signs for Worsborough Bridge Ladies, after completing her move earlier in the week from Barnsley Reserves.
The Midfielder returns to the club, where it all began in her career and is keen to hit the ground running. Hooson said “It’s good to be back, new players at the club so it’s important to see how their style of football is like. I’ve certainly learnt a lot from my time away and I feel I have come back a better player than before. I am ready to stick with Worsborough now and see where it takes me”.
Hooson spoke about the ambition of getting to the next level of her career with Worsborough and how the move it came about. She added “even though we are half-way through the season, I felt like the move was better for me and good in the long run. Although, the goal is to get Worsborough to open age one. “I’m definitely looking forward to see what we can do. Management has always been good down there, they have had some great results recently so I’m keen to help the team and hit the ground running”.
As the end of the season draws closer, Hooson looked to the future and where she would like Worsborough to be in the coming seasons. She said “from a Worsborough perspective, get back to where we were, before COVID we
were joint second and on track for promotion. It’s a good set up, what they have, for the rest of the season, certainly adding a few goals to my game would be good and hopefully we can get into open age one”.
Welcome back Emily.
