Chairman’s Christmas Message

Chairman’s Christmas Message

As we enter our final home game this weekend before Christmas I wanted to say Thank You.

It has been a fantastic first half to the 2021/22 season, and I want to start my Christmas message by thanking Luke Forgione, his management team and every single player that has pulled on a Briggers shirt so far this season.

I know how hard the manager, coaches and players worked in the summer and it has been a pleasure to be around them, watch them and support them. As we go into the Christmas period, they deserve to be in the position they are, and I am sure that anyone that has watched them will have enjoyed the performances of this young group of talented players giving everything for the club. I know they are  determined to carry this good form into the rest of the season.

I also want to pay tribute to the clubs small but committed group of board members and volunteers who work so hard behind the scenes, they are an incredible bunch who give so much to the club, often for little or no reward other than to see the club doing better.

I am now in my 5th year with the club, and 3rd year as the Chairman and am proud of the progress the club has made. We still have work to do but we continue to invest in the right areas off the pitch to make the club stronger for the future. With over 2000 fans visiting The Pinto Property Stadium so this season, the 5th best attendance in the league with an average over 150 per game I want to say a massive thank you to our supporters – your support has been fantastic, and I hope you continue to enjoy coming and supporting the Briggers. In our 13 games there have been 62 goals scored, that’s almost 5 per game so it is never dull !

On behalf of everyone at the club, I want to wish each and every person that has supported, sponsored, played or just taken an interest in the Briggers a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year.

Keep supporting Luke and his players and hopefully we can continue to enjoy a good season together.

Best Wishes,

Mark Booth, Chairman.
