Gaffers thought’s post Dronfield

We sat down with Luke straight after the match against Dronfield

I’ve got to be careful what I say but I thought the officials was poor but we were also poor all over the pitch, we got what we deserved and they were the better team we weren’t at the races. We had spoken about playing to the levels we had against Emley but it looked like a whole different team tonight I’m dissappointed.

The first 10 minutes we were really slow did you expect that?

No not really, we discussed in the changing room about not being complacent and we mentioned that Dronfield’s results were probably a little false. They have played the top teams and they will make it a tough game for anyone but we never really got going that’s the disappointing thing, you want the team to be a reflection of yourself and that was not what I expect.

You had to make a change in the first few moments how is that looking?

He will be out for a while with his thigh, Ross has got injured and Scott’s got injured, Kai got a nasty tackle in the first half but fortunately he seems alright but with a sending off aswell, everything that possibly could go wrong did go wrong. We were up against it and didn’t get much luck but you make your own luck in football.

The team showed some courage in the 2nd half by keep on going forward looking for an equaliser despite being down to 10

Yeah we said to the lads, I would rather loose 5 or 6 by showing a bit of courage and going to get the equaliser and I suppose the lads have done that. We brought Harvey Hoult on up top who is 16 year old – the kid has a bright future and he caused them trouble when he came on Alex Hutchinson also did really well tonight as well as Luke Francis and Scott Batty outstanding the lads played with a pulled hamstring and he never gave up.
