Fudge’s thoughts post Skegness game

Fudge’s thoughts post Skegness game

we sat down with fudge a short while after the Skegness game to get his thought’s after the 3-0 victory

Luke admitted he was very happy after the victory

It was a great result a 3 nil victory and a clean sheet which we had mentioned before the game about us conceding sloppy goals and it was something that we wanted to stop I think we rode our luck at times but I thought Ross Pritchard made some great saves to keep them at bay

Luke was full of praise for the Worsbrough stopper

I think he just needed to get some game time to build some confidence I have known of him for a while with him being at Athersley rec last year but the past two games he has been involved in he has been excellent his kicking has been good he has been coming to collect crosses and punching them when he has needed he was kicking up hill in the second half but I think he and the back four workrate and there desire to put there bodies on the line to defend the clean sheet.

I’ve said before we have goals in the team and when we have the desire to defend we are always going to create chances to score

I do think we could of had a few more Alex Hutchinson had a couple of chances which he will feel unlucky about one just before half time comes to mind but i think with our display we were full value for the victory

Luke told me after his first game in charge that he wanted to get into there faces

Yeah we had a plan I thought with Skegness travelling that far on a Tuesday night may have been something we could use to our advantage

On the day of the game it was called off before being put back on can you tell us about that ?

Someone went down to the ground earlier in the day and said the pitch was heavy and we tried to get it called off with the weather being as bad as it was but Skegness wanted to get the game on we had to be careful because we want to protect the players as well as the pitch. They (Skegness) must have been confident about coming here but we kicked down hill in the first half and I believe we were good value for going in at halftime 2-0 up

You don’t have to wait long to see the Briggers back in action as there back in action against Emley on 17th October 3pm kick off
