Thanks from Lee Morris

Thanks from Lee Morris

Following the resignation of Lee Morris on Saturday the club issued a statement. Today after 48 hours of personal reflection Lee has issued a statement that we want to share with all our supporters.

LM “I have taken 48 hours to reflect on my decision and it is one I made with a very very heavy heart. I wanted to say a massive thank you to Worsbrough Bridge AFC, especially Mark Booth who is the best Chairman, person and now friend I have met in football and I hope when things have calmed down we will get to work together again. To all the volunteers who do things behind the scenes that go unnoticed, they didn’t to me and are all worth their weight in gold and thank you for being there throughout my 3 years.

I also want to thank every single person that has pulled on a shirt for me, who has given up there time for me and the club and of course to all the supporters and sponsors who are so important to grassroots football.

It is time for me step away from football and spend time with my family and my 2 young daughters and give them the dad that they deserve. I have met so many great people in non league football and wish them all the best for the season ahead.

For all the haters don’t judge anyone or anything until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes or lived a day in their lives.

Thanks for all the messsages, it is impossible to reply to everyone but a massive thank you.

Over and out for now,

Cheers Moz
