Briggers AGM

Briggers AGM

Tonight Worsbrough Bridge AFC held its first ever online AGM, thank you to everyone that attended.

I am delighted that I was re-elected as Chairman unopposed and look forward to continuing to work with Ian Shirt (Treasurer), Jason Watkin (Club Welfare Officer), Ralph Oldham, Ray Pinder, Wayne Halford and Mark Shakespeare as board members. I am also pleased to welcome Derren Trevy to the group and I hope we can continue to move the club forward.

In my financial update I was pleased to report that the club has no debt and has made improvements at our Pinto Property Stadium to ensure we meet the requirements of league ground grading. We are in a positive moment in our history having secured a lease from our landlords which we look forward to formally signing in the very near future. This will give the club security of tenure and help us to apply for funding that can further improve the facilities and the spectator experience.

It is a privilege to be Chairman of Worsbrough Bridge AFC and to be entrusted with looking after it and moving it forward. We have a good strong and committed group of board members, volunteers and managers and also a special group of dedicated sponsors who despite recent difficulties with Covid-19 continue to support however they can.

On behalf of myself and my fellow board members thank you for placing your trust in us, we will work hard to make the club as good as it can be for the now and for future generations of players and supporters.

The hardwork has only just started and I look forward to the day we can come back together and cheer on our Briggers teams.

Best Wishes,

Mark Booth (Chairman)
