Interview with Pettinger

Interview with Pettinger

Yesterday Lee Morris confirmed the former professional goalkeeper Paul Pettinger would be joining his management team for next season. We caught up with Petts to talk about his appointment.

Welcome to Worsbrough Bridge AFC. Firstly what was it that made you decide to come to the club and work with Lee?

PP – I have known Lee for a good few years and he has spoken highly about the club. I feel I have loads to offer with my wealth of experience. I am sure I can benefit the goalkeepers as a former keeper myself, but also think that I have experience that can help the whole squad.

What do you think you can bring to the job?

PP – As I said I am hoping my wealth of experience will be a real asset. I have many life experiences, worked with international players and good non-league semi professional clubs and players. I have been involved with 4 teams that have gained Football League promotions, won an FA Youth Cup Medal, won the Conference North with Hucknall and got promoted with Kettering Town, but also experienced the heartache of relegation with Worksop Town so I have seen all aspects and I know which one I prefer!

How are you feeling about next season and working with Lee and the players?

PP – I can’t wait to get started, I love a good promotion and cup run so I hope that we can get the place buzzing. I am really looking forward to meeting the players and start working with Lee, start the hard work, have some fun and get some good results along the way.

Thanks for your time Paul, on behalf of everyone at the club we wish you good luck and hope your time with us is successful.
