Quick Club Update

Quick Club Update

On behalf of everyone at Worsbrough Bridge I want to start the update by asking all our followers and supporters to continue to stay safe and well.

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on the clubs current position and let everyone know what is happening. We are preparing behind the scenes for next season and that includes how we will look as a club both on and off the pitch. We are working with the various leagues and the County FA, as well as with funding bodies, local councillors and our Member of Parliament to make sure that our club remains at the heart of the Worsbrough Community.

As a club with the current financial uncertainty we feel is would be morally wrong to chase our business sponsors, they have been excellent with us over the last 12 months and when things have settled I am sure they will continue to support the club however they can.

As a football club we will endeavor to ensure that Worsbrough has a football club that the community can be proud of, our commitment to the community we represent is to come out stronger and resolute in achieving our goals.

Please keep following us on our social media pages, and share our posts to help us to grow our following and get our messages out to as many people as we can. We have faced plenty of adversity in the last 12 months with flooding and now the COVID-19 pandemic but I am confident that the structure we have put in place will see us come out of the other side.

I want to say a BIG thanks to everyone that has sent messages of support or who has donated to the club via our various fundraising initiatives. Every pound that has been donated so far will really help us to keep the club going during this period of uncertainty.

Stay safe and well until we meet again.

Best Wishes on behalf of all at Worsbrough Bridge AFC,

Mark Booth, Chairman.
